I worked with Huey yesterday and saw many improvements- first , he let me clean out his back feet entirely without too much fuss- at one point he actually very definately tested me and swung his back leg out to hit me on my side- it was clear he was very controlled about it and was not malicious- I took it as a great sign that he felt comfortable enough with me and trusted that I would not abuse him if he did this- instead I did have to set the boundaries and give him a firm no! It is normal for any horse to test their boundaries, and in Hueys case he was comforted to know that what he suspected was true- I could handle him.
The other amazing progress was he let me for the first time pick up and clean out his right front foot- this means he felt well enough to put weight on his left front, more injured leg/foot.
Another progress point was the fact that it became clear that Huey is keenly aware of his chiropractic misalignment because of his feet/knee joints being damaged- on 3 occasions while holding his feet he strategically used my body weight to ensure a successful adjustment- he manipulated my weight expertly and I heard at least 3 different times a chiropractic 'pop' realignment. From this experience with him, I can imagine this horse soared over fences like a dream and with eagle eye , oylmpic precision.
TOM- I will be using a hand-held massager with magnets to work on Tom's leg- the idea is to break up any scar tissue from what seems like an old scar/old injury in his groin area- by breaking up the tissue and massaging the fluid up and out , hopefully we can restore that lymphatic system to its original strength and function.
